About Mekoya
My name is Belihu Mekoya Alemayehu (Mekoya). I am a Civil Engineer committed to strengthening Ethiopia 's built environment through well-managed, high-quality construction and public infrastructure.
Over more than a decade, I have served in Ethiopia's construction sector in roles ranging from Site Engineer on the ground, to Contract Administration Team Leader, and finally as Deputy Bureau Head of the Addis Ababa City Administration Design & Construction Works Bureau. Each step has deepened my understanding of how planning, contracts, and execution must work together to deliver results.
Today, I am pursuing my Master's studies in China to gain advanced technical knowledge and modern perspectives in civil engineering. My goal is to return with stronger tools to support sustainable development, better project delivery, and effective governance in Ethiopia's construction sector.
